“Holding the “bad guys” accountable, one song at a time!”
Amber and director J.Michaels working out a scene.
“When I submitted my materials to “The Deciders” creative team, I was looking to audition for one of the “Foxettes”. At the end of the process they had me read for “Cindy Sheehan.” I was the last one to go and for whatever reason, I didn’t think the part suited me. I am usually the funny girl. The strong, dramatic roles were always someone else! The thing is, when I read what Mitch Kess wrote, combined with Mrs. Sheehan’s own words, I had never felt so heated and connected to something so quickly. I find so much passion in this woman.

I am a 25 year old, who does not have children, and knock on wood, has never lost anyone I love. Thinking of ways to really explore the depths of her feelings, I have to imagine the most important person in my life DEAD. Every day waking up and they are DEAD. Would it be worth it to brush my teeth, or check my email, to eat, or even breathe? The worlds’ “Circus” would continue around me and I would be stuck in a heavy, slow motion state of grief. So far in the process, this is my way of attempting to express the sadness of a grieving mother.

Cindy Sheehan’s story is about her heart and STRENGTH. Her spirit is contagious and we need more people like this. People who speak up and hold the “bad guys” accountable. The words that Cindy’s daughter, Carly, wrote in the poem “A Nation Rocked to Sleep”, will slice through you. This is straight from the victims hearts. I am honored to be playing such an amazing woman, and Cindy, if you are reading this for some crazy reason…COME SEE “THE DECIDERS”! We ARE speaking up and holding the “bad guys” accountable, one song at a time if that’s what it takes!!!”
